Parishes, associations and groups of friends organise pilgrimages and coach trips every year. Here is a practical guide to planning the journey and asking for clear quotes.

Before contacting companies, decide what you want to do: destinations, the order of stops, times of visits or services, and lunch stops. The clearer the programme, the more accurate the quote.
In the AllBusItalia form you can add up to two intermediate stops as well as the destination; if your programme is more complex, describe it in the notes.
On group trips everything takes longer: boarding and getting off, toilet breaks, delays. A programme that is too tight is unlikely to be kept. Remember too that the driver must comply with the legal driving and rest time rules: on long single-day routes you may need longer breaks or a second driver, as explained in the guide on how much a coach hire costs.
If your group includes older people or people with mobility difficulties, tell the company straight away:
Collect bookings a little in advance, but allow a margin: numbers often change at the last minute. A large group may need more than one vehicle; for a small one, a midibus or minibus may be enough. You will find details in the guide minibus, midibus or coach: which to choose.
State the departure city, destination, date, number of people and times. For pilgrimages, also say whether the coach will have to wait a long time in one place or whether it can drop off and pick up the group at different points. See also how to request a quote for a bus.
Yes: say so in your request, with outward and return dates, so the company can also work out the driver's overnight costs.
Tell the company straight away: they will explain which vehicles are suitable and what access is possible.
Each company that replies to you, in its own quote.
Fill in one request: bus and coach hire companies in the departure city receive it and reply to you directly. It is free and no registration is needed.
